My wife and I did our usual Saturday routine, garage sale to see what we could find. 100 golf balls for $10, cool. I heard on the radio that Patrick Cote, a MMA UFC fighter was appearing at a MMA clothing store from 11:00-1:00. We were only about 5 mins from the mall and it was time for lunch. I know who's who in the UFC, partly because of the sports lover in me and partly due to my students, who are genuine UFC freaks. Patrick suffered a horrible knee injury fighting Anderson Silva in UFC 90. He's been rehabbing for the last few months so he had several appearances in our city this weekend. There were a few people in the store and Patrick was standing at the counter reading a catalog (that has some of his clothing line in). I bought two pictures of him, $5.00 each (not bad) and he walked over to us and signed them, personalizing both. I asked for a picture with him. He was really cool, even knowing where the best picture would be.
We had a really nice chat and he was really polite, great guy. He did spell my name incorrect, but I was not going to argue with him! Check out this youtube link, we decided he could kill me in 10 seconds! LOL
